Same! I'm very wary of adaptations for books/comics I love (this is totally compatible with rolling my eyes at purists that complain about every conscious choice that deviates from the source material in other cases, of course), so I felt a lot of trepidation when I heard they were adapting this one. But I ended up LOVING IT, and I even prefer a few of the changes they made in this version! And then it was oh so cruelly taken away from me xD
