Dec. 23rd, 2025 09:18 amI received a podcast of one of my fics for holiday_wishes!
It's a Supernatural fic where I eventually added a second chapter in reply to a prompt here on tumblr ("rewrite something in a different character's POV"; the first chapter was from Sam's POV, the second from Castiel's) and the people making the podcast did something creative with it, first doing the fic as it is and then combining both chapters into a third one.
That event is still open to leave gifts, as are sapphic stocking stuffers and fandomtrees. Feel free to peruse other people comments (in the first case) and tags (in the second) to see if you want to leave someone a present!

WELCOME TO A MIA-CENTRIC EVENT THIS DECEMBER 21st
Another Mia Day is coming!
Did you want to create something for #aSpeedyEquinox and didn't get to finish? This is your chance to participate in another Miaposting round as we dedicate some time to this underappreciated character.
- All kinds of fanwork are welcome, and we encourage you to participate with anything, low-pressure. Write a short drabble, draw a doodle, post about one (1) song that makes you think of Mia, tell us about an issue of hers you liked, use one (1) panel for an edit. The goal is to enjoy yourself and talk about Mia.
- The only caveat: NO AI-created works.
- For obvious reasons, this (Jaymia) blog won't reblog creations of a shippy nature that don't involve Jaymia, but we encourage you to post anything Mia-related, regardless, for us all to enjoy.
- Tag your posts with #aSpeedySolstice or drop a mention to @dearhoodharbor if you want us to see them and reblog them.
- There are no limits to the kind of topics or ratings that can be featured in this works. It's left to the creator's discretion whether they warn for any specifics, but we ask that they be clear about the ratings.
Be polite and respectful to your fellow fans, don't start shit, and don't let drama started by others distract you from the goal: Mia-posting.

I'm participating in a couple of dreamwidth events for the winter holidays where you can leave me gifts :P
One is holiday_wishes, where I'd like to get some fanmixes/fanart/etc. of my own fanworks, femslash fic (with some suggestions), or lesbian media recommendation (taking that definition as extensively as you want).
The other is fandomtrees, where I'm requesting fic and art from DC comics (Wonder Woman/the amazons), The Locked Tomb (various female characters and combinations between them), and The 100 (some Octavia kinky femslash), as well as female-centric (F/F, F&F, or character-centric) multifandom fic recs.
You can also sign up yourself for these events up to December 31st and December 5th, respectively (read the rules throughoutly first!). A dreamwidth (or OpenID) account is necessary to participate in holiday_wishes, but you can submit your request & post comments on fandomtrees without one.

The gist of it would be an event where you can request any F/F ship (without genderswaps) as long as it has at least one (1) bat in it. It could be bat/bat, or bat/some other woman. The prompts could be fic, meta, fanart, icons... and include any DC fandom (comics, films, shows, etc.). Everyone would have their individual gift basket, and anyone, whether they signed up or not, could leave them treats.
The kinks would need to be ironed out, but I guess the schedule could be... submissions in December, prompts go out in January, gifts due to the end of February (for Femslash February, although my experience with giftbox events is that delays are common).
Basically, I'd like to spread some love for F/F ships, and for the female characters in the Batclan, and I'd want to know if there'd be interesting in any of that around here ^-^

It can be any kind of fanwork, of any length. Write a short drabble, make a few icons, tell us a song that reminds you of her, talk a bit about one issue she appears in that you liked... The point is, Mia's fans might be few but we can prove we're mighty by making something for our girl this upcoming equinox (and the next one, and on solstices... plans are at work!).

Jul. 15th, 2025 10:20 amThese summer months started a bit chaotically for me, on the off-line world, so I haven't been around much, here or otherwise. I just realised I forgot to make a post about femgiftboxes, an event I particupated in, just a little. I got some icons and some book recs out of it, including the one I'm using for this post, I myself ended up sharing a few recommendations (for a request about female musicians and authors of colour), writing my first Locked Tomb fic (a short, angsty Harrow Nova AU one-shot) and making a few Buffyverse icons (Bangel, Fuffy, Tillow, and Faithsley).
And to show off this new icon properly, I thought I'd give a little promotion to a new (Jason)/Mia sideblog, and an event that we'll be running there!
