Oh, it definitely is. I sent my welcome message with resources to over a dozen people yesterday. No telling how many will stay here; they ranged from "yay this is just like LiveJournal!" through "I don't know how to use this site" to "This isn't really my thing, but fuck Tumblr." I would say the several "yay" folks are almost certain to stick around, and probably some of the undecided, so maybe a total retention rate of 50% from that wave. The yays seemed to be people who moved to Tumblr from the LJ exodus.

If you have Tumblr friends coming here for the first time, newcomers has resources they may find helpful.

Awesome. You might like Full Content on Dreamwidth at goals_on_dw to let potential readers know that you're posting whole fics here instead of just links to offsite stuff.
