april goals
Apr. 2nd, 2026 10:31 amI saw the latest check-in post in goals_on_dw and thought I might as well make this!
- I've been keeping up with my job-related goals quite well, for the most part. I'm a bit behind on some work stuff because the online platform I have to use still doesn't work properly, but I'm documenting everything on paper just in case. The goal for April will be to keep up at day and find a work-around for the damn program lol.
- More of the same for my study goals. If I keep up my rhythm, by the end of the month I'll have gone through ~one third of the material I want to finish by the end of June, and I'll have also completed my B1 French course.
- I need to step up my workout LOL. At the moment I'm spending most of my time in a small town, where there are little to no actually-fun-physical-activities as opposed to gym rat stuff (and even if I liked gyms, the one there is really poorly equipped). I kind of hate staying-in-place workouts as anything but warm ups/stretching, unless it's something like a dance or self-defense class (which I haven't been able to take in forever), and basically the only thing available there for me is... running. So running it'll be!
- As for writing goals, this month I want to write something for the Femslash Big Bang April prompt, as well as a one-shot for February's or March's, to post it later during rollover week. That, and a fic I've been meaning to finish about Mia Dearden and Jason Todd.
- I will also continue crossposting older fics into dreamwidth. For April, I'll finish with the three sentence ficathon prompts from 2025, as well as a few other drabble prompts I wrote for an ask game that year.
- I am getting really back into fiction reading and I'm going to enjoy all this energy while it lasts! I'm going to go through my #to read lists in tumblr to knock down some short stories and fanfics, maybe some comics, that have been on my list forever, for one. Other novels I want to read this month are yet another Catherine Ryan Howard thriller, an indie fantasy book written by a discord mutual, and a reread of Frankenstein in this page that compares the 1818 and 1831 editions. I'm also pacing myself with some series (roughly one chapter per day): Earthsea, The Shadowhunter Chronicles (in a bout of nostalgia for the show while refusing to watch the show LOL), and His Dark Materials, which I've been meaning to reread for years. I don't rule out other stuff getting added to the list, I'm going to follow my whims.
- Let's see if I can also finish Twin Peaks this month! Season 2, at least. The other shows I'll be (re)watching will be in French. Two birds, one stone, and all that. And I'll try to watch one film per week, as well.
- During my trips to cities I will be visiting at least two (2) museums/art galleries/etc., minimum. I have one visit already planned for next week.
